Catherine Sarah Rigg (nee McDonald) (1827-1899)

Catherine Sarah Rigg (nee McDonald) was born in 1827 and was recorded living in London with her sister Mary Ann (1825-??) and father Alexander G McDonald(1789-1878). She married James Rigg (1816-1883) on 14th April 1846 at St Georges in Middlesex at which time his occupation was given as "Tailor".

She died at 55 Malvern Road, Leytonstone, London, UK on the 14th December 1899 aged 73.

    Catherine McDonald's parents were Alexander G McDonald (1789-1878) who was recorded at her marriage as a "shoemaker" from Banff in Scotland. His wife was not Barbara Craig, so remains unidentified.

    Alexander McDonald is one of the witnesses to the marriage of Mary Ann Rigg(1850-??) in 1875. Another daughter Mary Ann Donald is recorded as part of the Rigg household - sister-in-law to James Rigg - in the 1881 census. She is recorded as aged 56 and a Milk Seller but at this time Alexander McDonald is not recorded at the same address: 9 Dempsey Street London, Middlesex, England.
