James Charles Rigg (1882-1966)

James Charles Rigg was born in 1882 [1882Q3 St Geo in East Vol: 1c, Page: 380] and died in 1966 in London. He married Elizabeth Dilday(1885-1958) on 23rd August 1919, and they had one daughter Amelia Elizabeth (1925-1972).
He and his wife Elizabeth (1885-1958), and their daughter Amelia Elizabeth (Millie) (1925-1972) lived at 18 Bermuda St, E1. His brother Frederick William Rigg (1894-1966) lived with them after the death of his wife Mary Driscoll-Rigg in her second pregnancy.

James Charles (Jim) was a postman. In WW1 he had been a POW held by the Bulgarians. He was proud of his war record and medals (see photo of him and his wife).

James Charles parents were James Rigg (1846-1908) and Amelia Wright-Rigg (1853-1925).

James Charles Rigg was a first cousin of my grandfather.
