Charles Whitewood (c1846-??)

Charles Whitewood (c1846-??) was born on the Isle of Wight at Mottistone. Aged 25 he married Ellen Barnes-Whitewood (c1856-??) who was aged 16 on 18th April 1874 at a Registry Office on the Isle of Wight. She signed the register and he made a Mark. Their fathers were Henry Whitewood and George Barnes both Agricultural Labourers. One witness was not of the family, the other recorded a Mark in the name of William Barnes.

Charles' parents were Henry Whitewood (1806-??) and Harriet Warne-Whitewood (1804-??) who were married on 4 January 1830 at Mottistone IOW (N.B. unsubstantiated LDS record in IGI).
Benjamin Whitewood and Jane Dunkinson were the parents of Henry Whitewood christened on 27 July 1806 at Brixton Hampshire (N.B. unsubstantiated LDS record in IGI).
